As The Black Keys' Dan Auerbach told Rolling Stone, which premiered the video in the US, the band opted for the performance video over another storyline in the works and went on to play a full show for the fans in the Nashville audience.
"We all just sort of kind of mutually agreed that it should probably just be the performance and not any of the other extra stuff," Auerbach tells Rolling Stone. “Luckily we had live footage so we turned it into a live video. We just sort of said 'You know, it was fun kind of performing here at a small club with the fans. Why don't we just have it be that?'"
Or, as NME writes in its UK premiere of the new video "from all-conquering blues-rockers The Black Keys," it "finds them doing what they do best—rocking the tits off a room full of people."
