Yola performed on the inaugural episode of The Bluegrass Situation's new Whiskey Sour Happy Hour series, hosted by Ed Helms and presented in partnership with Americana Music Association, to benefit MusiCares' COVID-19 Relief Fund and Direct Relief, last night. "She put out one of the most exciting albums of the year last year with the production and co-writer guidance of Dan Auerbach," says Helms. Also on the debut episode are its "house band," composed entirely of Punch Brothers fiddler Gabe Witcher, whom Helms calls an "unbelievably annoyingly talented musician," and additional guest musicians Madison Cunningham, David Garza, Watkins Family Hour, Aubrie Sellers, Lee Ann Womack, and Billy Strings, as well as New Yorker cartoonist Matt Diffee.
