Congratulations to Yola, who has been nominated for two UK Americana Awards: UK Artist of the Year and UK Album of the Year for her Dan Auerbach–produced solo debut album, Walk Through Fire. Yola, whom Q calls a "Bristol country-soul miracle," also performs on the self-titled album from the supergroup Highwomen, which was nominated for International Album of the Year. Another nominee in that category is Songs of Our Native Daughters, featuring Rhiannon Giddens. The fifth-annual UK Americana Awards ceremony will take place at Troxy in London on January 30, 2020.

Walk Through Fire, which was released in February on Auerbach's Easy Eye Sound label, distributed by Nonesuch, puts a contemporary twist on a traditional sonic tapestry of orchestral strings, fiddle, steel, and shimmering tremolo guitars. The album "showcases Yola's otherworldly vocals and compelling songwriting," says NPR. "It's the work of an artist sure to stun audiences for years to come." To pick up a copy, head to your local record store, iTunes, Amazon, the Easy Eye Sound Store, or the Nonesuch Store, where CD and vinyl orders include a download of the complete album at checkout. You can also hear the album now on Spotify and Apple Music.

Yola is currently on a sold-out tour of the UK and Europe as special guest of Greta Van Fleet. She's back in the States to perform at Holiday Cheer for FUV at the Beacon Theatre in New York City on December 10. See below for tour details and visit nonesuch.com/on-tour.
